In his senior year of high school, Mark was named first chair trumpet player in the Illinois State Honor Band. His close friends remember him for his quick wit and humor, his humbleness and his willingness to help whenever he could. He was respected as a fierce advocate of justice for all, a tenacious adversary and an honest and straightforward person in both his professional and personal life. Mark volunteered with numerous professional and civic organizations. He was an accomplished attorney receiving numerous awards including attorney of the year on more than one occasion.
